Industrial Magnetics, Inc. (IMI) designs and manufactures both standard and customized magnetic workholding, material handling and separation devices. Most of these products are made in the United States—a point of pride for the company, which also offers magnet-related services to its clientele.
The company that would become Cogent Power started out of a garage around 1973 and, in the ensuing five decades, has become a trusted Canadian supplier to the electrical energy industry.
GROB has been transitioning to new markets, introducing new products, and maintaining its usual high standards since Manufacturing in Focus last profiled the firm in December 2019. COVID has changed some of the ways the company does business but has not slowed its forward momentum.
